Welcome to Catherine McAuley College Mackay
Catherine McAuley College is a Catholic co-educational facility catering to the full range of students. Starting with our pioneering Year 7’s in 2022, we grow into a complete Years 7 to 12 profile by 2027.
Established in the classic heritage setting of the ‘Sugar Research Institute’, Catherine McAuley College builds on a tradition of innovation and intellectual endeavour. We honour the past and build an exciting future.
METAL FABRICATION EXCURSION
The Year 10 students were invited by the Queensland Manufacturing Hub to tour local business, Key Solutions Group. Students enjoyed discovering more about what it takes to work in the manufacturing industry; specifically metal fabrication, fitting and turning and engineering. KSG staff explained how they currently incorporate robotic welders, VR (virtual reality), AR (Augmented Reality) as well as traditional methods into their day-to-day processes. Thanks to Teanna and the Queensland Manufacturing Hub for making this possible.
